Today we read article reviews on three topics concerning arrest in Canada: 1) the right to a lawyer; 2) the right to remain silent; and, 3) the right to a police warning upon arrest. Afterwords, we broke into groups of three to discuss the articles and write point-form notes to be used as pre-writing.
Those notes should be finished for homework. Tomorrow we will write
individually composed paragraphs summarizing our rights upon arrest (yes, these will be collected and assessed FOR MARKS) so come prepared to write.
